The funding, secured through the Biden-Harris Administration’s Inflation Reduction Act, will enable Armstrong International to increase its production of specialized commercial heat pumps, develop new product lines, and create approximately 50 jobs in the region. “Michigan is bringing home millions of dollars from President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act to support good-paying jobs manufacturing heat pumps that will drive down utility bills for families,” Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer said in a statement. “Michigan is leading and building the future of clean energy, and with federal support, we will supercharge our efforts to create middle-class manufacturing jobs, lower costs for families and small businesses, and improve access to reliable power. ”
The expansion project includes the construction of a new 29,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and the upgrade of existing infrastructure. The new state-of-the-art facility will focus on the production of advanced thermal utility solutions, catering to a growing demand from various industries, including healthcare, food processing, and energy.
